Breast Reconstruction GAP and DIEP

Just wanted to say hello to my all my breast cancer sisters and their families and friends!  I’m in Groton, MA and had my breast reconstruction done in New York. 

I am a five year survivor!  I had bilateral mastectomies and reconstruction surgery.  The hardest part of the surgery was dealing with the insurance company.  Dr. Alex Keller made the rest incredibly easy.  He accommodated me in every way possible.

GAP Flap (gluteal artery perforator) is the kind of surgery I had done in 2004 by Dr. Alex Keller in Long Island, NY.  The surgery was skin-sparing and muscle-sparing. I have recovered some sensation.  I feel whole and beautiful.  I can wear a bra, or not!  I play hockey and exercise as well as I did before the surgery.
