Here’s my new favorite breakfast for #Ideal Protein.

Ideal Protein French Toast

FRENCH TOAST IDEAL PROTEIN STYLE

Use your Ideal Protein Shaker to mix:
1 pack of Ideal Protein Pancake Mix
5 oz water
2 whole eggs
Pinch of stevia (no carb)
Sprinkle of cinnamon

Cook on medium heat in non-stick pan, flip half way through cooking.

Enjoy a protein-enriched breakfast! Use on Phase 1 and 2 and count the pancake as one “high carb” and the 2 eggs as part of your 8 ounce allowance of your own protein. Perfect for Phase 3 and 4. Also a nice breakfast for a growing teenager who is trying to add protein!

#GreatQuestion I’ve been following #IdealProtein and nothing is happening.

How do you know nothing is happening? How have you measured your changes and successes?

Stepping on the scale is just one way to measure. Yes, it’s necessary to see how much you weigh but you cannot tell from the scale what you are measuring. In order to see and know “what is happening” you need to take many measurements including a Body Composition Analysis, Tape Measure, do a Food Journal review, consider how your clothes are fitting and assess your current physical status. Are you constipated? Menstruating? Did you Deviate from the protocol (have your coach check you food journal). If you haven’t kept a food journal with everything written down “to the T”, you haven’t followed the protocol :) Did you take your supplements? What else can you tell me about your week? Are you getting 8 hours of sleep? How have you been coping with stress in your life? Are you drinking all your water? Are you eating all your vegetables? Are you measuring your food?

When you feel frustrated based on the number on a scale that measures a snapshot in time you are creating a story to justify your frustration. Create a new story that feels better. The protocol is easy. Trust you will get the results you expect if you are following the method exactly.

Include all of the positive changes you are making when you “measure” your success. You are aware of your eating. You are eating vegetables every day. You have more energy. Write down your “non-scale victories.”

If you are following the Ideal Protein Weight Loss method you are losing weight. It works.

First You Must BELIEVE You Can

Before and After Ideal Protein photoIt is not enough to want something, to wish you could lose weight.  You can TRY to lose weight.  Or you can CHOOSE to lose weight.

First, you must BELIEVE you can lose weight.  That does not mean the path is straight and the ride smooth.  You’ll hit speed bumps and take a few scenic routes.  You are, after all, human.  You will try and correct, try and correct and day by day get better with practice.

You will fail, fall and get back up.

The journey will be yours, unique, interesting and challenging.

But first, and always, you must BELIEVE your goal is achievable.  You must believe you can lose weight.  You must believe you are worth the effort.

Believe you can and you will.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 75 Minutes-120 Minutes

Zucchini Chips are delicious and healthy, great for All Phases of Ideal Protein

You can eat these on Phase 1 and Phase 2 of Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol

Ingredients:
1 Zucchini
Cooking Spray
Garlic Powder
Sea Salt
 
Recipe:
  1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat with cooking spray
  3. Cut zucchini into slices (about the width of a quarter)
  4. Line on baking sheet and sprinkle on garlic powder and sea salt  NOTE: Use less seasoning than what seems appropriate. The chips shrink considerably in the oven, and if you use too much seasoning it gets very concentrated and overpowering.
  5. Place in preheated oven and bake for 45 minutesRotate baking sheet and flip chips, and bake an additional 30-45 minutes (or until golden brown)

Pros and Cons of Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol

Dear Friend,
You have great questions and they come up frequently whenever we talk about weight loss and Ideal Protein.  Many people will give you advice and make blanket statements without really understanding what they are talking about. Of course they mean well but I think you are one step ahead because you are open to asking questions, so good for you.
The fact is many people who object to “processed foods” don’t even read the labels for Ideal Protein so they don’t even know what they are objecting too.  Further, they DO eat processed foods and lots of them and somehow these foods don’t count.  This is going to sound harsh but here it is… It’s denial.  It’s what people tell themselves so that they don’t have to do the work to change.  Change can be scary but change is only as hard as you think it is.
I don’t like to think of ideal Protein as a diet because really it is a life-style change protocol that incorporates a few tools to help transition you to a healthy way of eating.
Ideal Protein products are a TEMPORARY and a MEDICAL INTERVENTION… after a relatively short intervention (weeks or a few months) the Ideal Protein Protocol will last your life-time with ONLY YOUR OWN FOOD AND HEALTHIER FOODS THAN YOU ARE EATING NOW!!!  How anyone can argue with this solution is beyond me when you consider the alternative… a life-time of obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, auto-immune disorders, cancer, other chronic illness, etc.

Yogurt, Cheese, Bagels, Fruit, Carrots, Hummus, Oatmeal, Cereals, Breads, Crackers, Chips, Beans/Lentils/Legumes, a variety of processed treats (M&M’s, Chips, Cheez-Its, Ice Cream)… not enough lean protein and NEVER enough cruciferous vegetables, green leafy vegetables and other low-glycemic, nutrient dense, antoxidant, pH balancing vegetables.  Most people say they eat vegetables but when I get them to write down what they eat and how much they eat it is not nearly what we REQUIRE on Ideal Protein Weight Loss Protocol.
I hope this helps with your “pro and con” considerations.  Essentially with Ideal Protein you take a few weeks or months of a safe medical intervention with a beginning and an end to reach your goal and learn to eat whole organic foods in better combinations that will support every cell in your body to function at its best to provide you your best health, energy and vitality possible.
